Go Green with Shaklee Review and Giveaway

What's hiding under your kitchen sink?
Please pardon the mess... this is what's under my sink.
Do you ever wonder exactly what's in your cleaning products?  I took a good look at some of my cleaners on the US Dept. of Health Household Database and found they contain many "not so green" ingredients.
My anti-dust spray contains petroleum distillates.  The Disinfectant spray I use is listed as a hazard to humans and domestic animals.  There is a warning on my dishwasher detergent that cautions me not to breathe in the dust, and contains phosphorus, which can cause a host of ecological and human health problems.

I was shocked to discover how many potentially dangerous ingredients are in my cleaning products!

When I was offered a Shaklee Get Green Kit I jumped at the chance to try these products. Shaklee products have been reviewed and endorsed for their safety by Healthy Child Healthy World.  Shaklee has a full line of natural and nontoxic cleaning choies that are SAFE for You, Your Home, and Your Planet, called Get Clean®.

· No harmful fumes or hazardous chemicals.
· Outperforms 20 national leading brands.
· Features Basic H2® Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate - just 1/4 tsp. makes 16oz. of all-purpose cleaner for only 3 cents.
· With the Get Clean Starter Kit you also make a positive impact on the planet:
· Keep 108 pounds of packaging waste from landfills.
· Eliminate 248 pounds of greenhouse gas.

What I love about the Shaklee products is that they're super concentrated, so I'll be using far less packaging and saving money too. They're nontoxic and they clean great!
The 16 oz. bottle of Get Clean  Basic H2® Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate  makes 48 gallons and can be used to clean appliances, counters, stainless steel, windows. It will also degrease your oven and driveway!  I love this product. It's powerful AND safe.

Here's the cabinet under my sink now.
Much better, right?  This is every cleaning product I could ever need, including laundry products.
Would you like to try Shaklee Get Clean products?  You're in luck, because Shaklee has offered one lucky J4C Home reader a Shaklee Mini Household Kit (a $46.95 value!) The kit contains:

  10. Yes, there are many questionable chemicals under my sink, but to be fair, I don't use anything but the vinegar, washing soda, baking soda, borax and bar soap. I even make my own hand soap and laundry detergent... I just haven't gotten rid of the yucky stuff because I'm not sure how to dispose of it correctly...

I actually only have one product in the kitchen at the moment and it just has a couple Ammonia Compounds. I'm sure if I look under the bathroom sink I probably won't be as lucky. Still I'm planning on replacing all the cleaners with "green" products once they're finished. At the very least I'll go back to using vinegar and/or salt and/or baking soda. Thanks for the giveaway.

  38. I did not even have to look because none of these chemicals are anywhere in my house. I switched over to all natural, non-toxic, eco-friendy cleaners many years ago to avoid them. I don’t actually need a makeover, but already love this brand and would love to win some free products, both ones I already love and some that I have not yet tried! I hope that is OK!!
