Hiding veggies in other foods, cutting them up into cute little shapes... oh, the things we do to get our kids to eat their vegetables! When Cai Dixon noticed her young daughter was more willing to try new fruits and vegetables when she saw another child eating them, she had an idea. Why not create a DVD showing kids enjoying various fruits and vegetables? Kids would watch and be encouraged to do the same. That was the beginning of Copy-Kids.
The DVD is full of unscripted, fun encounters with adorable kids, aged 9 months to 4 years, enjoying fruits and veggies. The eating habits kids develop between 6 months through the toddler years stick with them their whole lives, so this is a brilliant way to get kids into healthy eating while they're young.
There are 12 chapters, one for each different fruit or veggie:
** bell pepper **carrots **raspberries **broccoli
**bananas **strawberries **tomatoes **cucumber
**oranges **avocado **apples **blueberries
My daughter and I have been watching Copy-Kids with my grandson, "J," who is 10 months old.
The DVD is lively and fun. J laughs and claps as he watches.
